The Ice Queen nodded. "Agreed."

"I can only deduce that the transition will occur in about seven days, but I don’t know the exact time either."
"Others’ calculations are even less precise; they could be off by days, or even months. Furthermore, most of the legends surrounding the Time Secret Realm have been lost. Only fragments of stories still circulate on the Snowfield."
The Ice Queen could calculate such an accurate time because she had lived through an unknown number of transitions between polar day and night.
She had always been calculating the cycle of the polar day and night transitions.
Ordinary humans don’t possess her longevity.
The time it takes for two cycles of polar day and night to pass is roughly the entire lifespan of an ordinary human.
After realizing how urgent the situation was, Li Wei immediately considered setting off for the Extreme Cold Abyss.
There wasn’t much time left.
"In that case, I should prepare to head for the Extreme Cold Abyss as well," Li Wei said.
The Ice Queen said, "If that’s the case, then have Gu Sewei accompany you. She can be of great help to you in the Extreme Cold Abyss."
"Huh?" Gu Sewei looked surprised.
She hadn’t expected the Ice Queen to make her go with Li Wei to the incredibly dangerous Extreme Cold Abyss.

Hearing Gu Sewei’s surprised cry, the Ice Queen turned to look at her.

The Ice Queen smiled faintly. "There’s no need to be so nervous. Take the Frost Staff with you. With it in hand, you can handle any danger you might encounter."

The Ice Queen chuckled. "You said it yourself, it’s merely a symbol of my authority. Do you think I still need the Frost Staff to maintain my rule over Fred City?"
Gu Sewei hurriedly said, "That’s not what I meant."
"Enough. Just take the Frost Staff with you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t feel at ease sending you to a place as dangerous as the Extreme Cold Abyss."
"With the Frost Staff, you’ll at least have some protection."
The Ice Queen stood up and extended her right hand. An ice-blue light materialized before her.
She reached out and grasped the light. As it gradually faded, it revealed the Frost Staff, made entirely of blue Ice Crystals.
The Ice Queen handed the Frost Staff to Gu Sewei, who accepted it with both hands.
"I will not fail to live up to Her Majesty the Queen’s expectations."
Gu Sewei swore, holding the Frost Staff.
The Ice Queen shook her head and said, "No. I want you to prioritize your own safety and return alive."
Gu Sewei tightened her grip on the Frost Staff and looked up at the Ice Queen, seeing a look of worry in her eyes for the first time.
Seeing the atmosphere had grown a bit heavy, Li Wei smiled and said, "Don’t worry. With me around, we’ll definitely make it back safely."
Gu Sewei glanced at Li Wei. ’He’s only brave enough to make such a bold claim because he doesn’t truly understand the dangers of the Extreme Cold Abyss.’
’Forget him; even the Ice Queen herself could face danger and meet an untimely end if she went to the Extreme Cold Abyss.’
Gu Sewei didn’t say anything. All she could do was tighten her grip on the Frost Staff in her hand.
The Frost Staff was the Ice Queen’s scepter, a Legendary Weapon.
It could greatly enhance the power of Ice Magic.
In the Extreme North Icefield and the Extreme Cold Abyss, its power was even more astounding, far stronger than an ordinary Legendary Weapon.
Holding the Frost Staff, Gu Sewei could even put up a fight against a Legendary Level creature.
Her current situation was somewhat similar to the Fire Element Elder’s; both relied on external items to attain Power comparable to the Legendary Level.
However, her own strength was much weaker than the Fire Element Elder’s.
Li Wei and Gu Sewei left the palace and saw Gu Ze outside.

Since Gu Sewei didn’t say what she was going to do, and the Ice Queen hadn’t told her either, Monice didn’t ask any questions.
This was something a subordinate should understand.

He asked, "Are you two going together?"
